Subban told NBC's Pierre McGuire that Crosby had criticized his breath during a third-period scrum in Nashville's 5-1 win in Game 3 on Saturday that cut Pittsburgh's lead in the best-of-7 series to 2-1.
"I really don't understand why, because I used Listerine before the game," Subban said. "I thought my breath smelled great."
Crosby denied Subban's claim. But the star defenseman went the extra mile so none of his opponents takes exception to his oral hygiene.
