Subban, who hasn't played since a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Dec. 15, did not practice Wednesday and remains day to day. He has seven goals and 10 assists (17 points) and is minus-11 in his first season with Nashville after he was traded by the Montreal Canadiens for Shea Weber on June 29.
The Predators play back-to-back games against the Chicago Blackhawks at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; FS-TN, CSN-CH, NHL.TV) and the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center on Friday (8 p.m. ET; SN1, TVA Sports, FS-MW, FS-TN, NHL.TV). Nashville plays Montreal for the first time since acquiring Subban at Bridgestone Arena on Jan. 3.
General manager David Poile said in a radio interview Tuesday that Subban was scheduled to meet with doctors.
"We all thought that there was a good chance that he would skate today with the idea of maybe playing later this week, but that didn't happen," Poile told Nashville station 102.5 The Game before the Predators' 3-2 overtime loss to the Wild on Tuesday. "We're going to have a little meeting tonight with P.K. and the doctors just to see where we are."
