The 29-year-old forward scored 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) in 51 regular-season games for Nashville last season and five points (two goals, three assists) in six Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was an unrestricted free agent.

Selected by the Minnesota Wild in the first round (No. 9) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Granlund has scored 379 points (124 goals, 255 assists) in 591 regular-season games with the Predators and Wild, and 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 55 NHL playoff games.
David Rittich signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with Nashville on Wednesday. The goalie, who turns 29 on Aug. 19, was 5-8-2 with a 2.86 goals-against average, a .901 save percentage and one shutout in 19 games (15 starts) with the Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
Rittich could be the backup to Juuse Saros after Pekka Rinne announced his retirement July 13 after 13 NHL seasons.
Signed by the Flames as an undrafted free agent June 10, 2016, Rittich is 64-40-16 with a 2.82 GAA, a .907 save percentage and four shutouts in 134 games (121 starts) with Calgary and Toronto.
