Pavel Buchnevich probably made a fan for life on Wednesday.

A young Buchnevich fan was moved to tears after the New York Rangers forward flipped him a stick during warmups against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden.

Benjamin, who is in the Junior Rangers youth hockey organization and has been a huge Buchnevich fan since he signed with New York in May 2016, was standing rinkside when the forward skated over and tossed him the stick before high-fiving between the glass. Buchnevich's gesture overwhelmed the fan, who began crying. Fortunately, he composed himself in time to flash a smile for a selfie with his hero.

, Benjamin described the moment he made the connection with his favorite player.
"I'm at the glass," he said. "I have (Mika) Zibanejad, (Chris) Kreider, they're all waving to me and then I see Buchnevich and then he winked, like, 'Wow that's a very nice jersey,' and then he was talking to (Vladislav) Namestnikov like, 'Look at this kid.' A second later, boom, Buchnevich comes and gives me the stick over the glass and I'm crying. I'm a huge Rangers fan so it was just really emotional."
