You can cut off their goal song, but you can't silence New York Rangers fans.

Jesper Fast batted the puck out of midair and into the net to tie Tuesday's Rangers-Blackhawks game at one, so the goal song started, as is custom at Madison Square Garden. But it was cut off quickly as the goal went to video review.

After the goal was reviewed and deemed good, the song struck up again. While more of it got played the second time around, it had to be cut short again at the ensuing faceoff.
But it was no music, no problem for Rangers fans. They went ahead and finished it with their voices.
No one missed a note of the song, titled "Slapshot" which was written by MSG music director Ray Castoldi and performed by a band called Bad Apple. It has been played after goals in the Garden since 1995.
