For New York Rangers fans at Madison Square Garden who suspected Michael Grabner scored in the third period, they took it on faith, they took it to the heart, but the waiting was the hardest part.

And maybe that was referee Wes McCauley's plan?
McCauley skated to center ice knowing the outcome of the play, but was waiting for his signal to announce the result of the review, according to Rangers announcer Sam Rosen. It looked as though he was waiting for the full attention of the class.
And even after McCauley got the go ahead, the veteran referee, never one to rush to judgment, waited an extra beat or two before giving the crowd the news they wanted to hear.

The unique announcement even left Rangers coach Alain Vigneault laughing.
Guess some things are worth waiting for.
