Muskegon center Rem Pitlick, a projected fourth-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, was recognized as the 2016 United States Hockey League Player of the Year and Forward of the Year on Monday.
Pitlick (5-foot-9, 196 pounds), No. 93 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters eligible for the 2016 draft, led the USHL and set a Muskegon record with 89 points. He led the league with 46 goals, 43 assists and eight game-winning goals in 56 regular-season games; his goal total ranks third on the all-time USHL list.
