Ron Burgundy displayed his love for burritos for the whole world to see.
The legendary anchorman appeared on the Kiss Cam at Staples Center with his beloved rolled flour tortilla while assisting in the broadcast booth for the Los Angeles Kings game against the San Jose Sharks.
Burgundy, the lead character of two "Anchorman" movies played by actor and comedian Will Ferrell, was in the FOX Sports West booth alongside Alex Faust and Jim Fox on Thursday. He received the burrito, along with a glass of milk (in this case, milk was a good choice), from Kings mascot Bailey, then proceeded to eat it while calling the second-period action.
"This burrito is delicious, but it is filling" meets "Milk was a bad choice" and it's everything we've ever wanted from Ron Burgundy 🌯🥛#GoKingsGo | @_Attendee pic.twitter.com/GlbVJoyGg5
Burgundy spent much of the second period as the play-by-play broadcaster, dishing on Jeff Carter's dashing good looks among other things. But he also revealed that his dog Baxter was the original "Bark Madness" winner in 1979. Though that may need to be fact-checked. Burgundy recently started a new podcast, aptly called "The Ron Burgundy Podcast," which he was sure to promote. But his appearance wasn't all burritos and broadcasting. He also made time for a photo with Aiden Rose, a Make-A-Wish child who the Kings signed to a one-day contract earlier Thursday.
