Miller, who turns 37 on July 17, was 18-29-6 with a 2.80 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and three shutouts in 54 games with the Vancouver Canucks last season.

"I do feel I have a lot of hockey left in me," Miller said. "I've been able to take care of myself and still feel I can play at a fairly high level. Any chance you have to play in the NHL is really a blessing, and I wanted to maximize my time and my chances chasing down the Stanley Cup."
He signed a three-year contract with the Canucks prior to the 2014-15 season and was 64-68-16 with a 2.69 GAA, a .914 save percentage and 10 shutouts in three seasons with Vancouver. Miller, who was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round (No. 138) of the 1999 NHL Draft, spent the first 11 seasons of his career in Buffalo before being traded to the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 28, 2014. He won the Vezina Trophy and was named to the NHL First All-Star Team for 2009-10, when he was 41-18-8 with a 2.22 GAA, a .929 save percentage and five shutouts.
He is the Sabres' all-time leader in games played among goalies (540) and wins (284), ranks second in shutouts (28), and is third in GAA (2.60) and save percentage (.915).
Miller, whose 358 wins are 19th in NHL history, has a 2.61 GAA, a .915 save percentage and 39 shutouts in 709 games (701 starts) with the Canucks, Blues and Sabres.
