Rick Jeanneret's announcing career was good.After 51 years on the air, Jeanneret signed off for the final time with an emotional goodbye.Earlier this season, the Buffalo Sabres held a special night honoring the broadcasting legend, complete with[raising a banner](https://www.nhl.com/news/sabres-honor-broadcaster-rick-jeanneret/c-332529848)with his initials.Fittingly, he got to call an overtime win.Before the game, the tributes were plentiful, including a pair of incredible RJ skates.During the pregame, Jeanneret was typically not-so serious, wearing a special balloon animal mascot on his head.The team also played a special tribute video to their longtime voice.Sabres legend Dominik Hasek, who Jeanneret dubbed "The Dominator," sent a video message.Current players, new and old, also wished him well.His colleagues, Brian Duff, Marty Biron and Robbie Ray also paid tribute.Fans also lined up to say their goodbyes, which included a special edition page of The Buffalo News.It was a first class sendoff for one of the most famous voices in hockey history.
