Dahlin edged Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson (6-6-12 in 14 GP), Ottawa Senators teammates Brady Tkachuk (6-4-10 in 11 GP) and Colin White (5-5-10 in 14 GP), and Los Angeles Kings goaltender Cal Petersen (4-4-0, 2.41 GAA, .929 SV%, 1 SO in 9 GP) for the honor.
Dahlin logged an average of 19:54 for a Buffalo team that completed an 11-3-1 November to move into second place in the NHL's overall standings (17-7-3, 37 points). That included a 10-game winning streak from Nov. 8-27, equaling a franchise record also achieved from Jan. 4-23, 1984, and Oct. 4-26, 2006.
Dahlin, the No. 1 overall pick in 2018 NHL Draft, also ranked second among all rookies with a +9 rating, logging an even or positive plus/minus in 12 of his 15 November appearances. The 18-year-old Lidkoping, Sweden, native - who has 2-12-14 in his first 27 career games - joins Pettersson (October) as a Rookie of the Month winner in 2018-19.
