The 24-year-old forward was a restricted free agent who had an arbitration hearing scheduled Tuesday. He scored 50 points (22 goals, 28 assists) in 69 games last season.
"There's quite a bit to build off," Reinhart said May 28. "For me personally, I was very pleased with how I was able to feel on a consistent basis, energy levels, strength, playing with those added minutes and keep building off that for the extended offseason is really important."
The No. 2 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, Reinhart has scored 255 points (109 goals, 146 assists) in 400 regular-season games. He has ranked among Buffalo's top three point-scorers every season since 2015-16, joining Rick Martin, Dave Andreychuk and Jack Eichel as one of four Sabres players to do so in each of his first five full NHL seasons.
