"I just had fun," Scheifele said. "You got to see what it was like to play a pro course and I enjoyed it. I made some good shots, I made some bad shots. Overall, it was a really fun day.
"I didn't go in expecting anything. I wanted to enjoy it and have fun and hit some good shots and have some good holes. I think I accomplished everything that I wanted to these last two days."
After losing the Western Conference Final to the Vegas Golden Knights last season, Scheifele said the Jets need to prepare for high expectations.
"You just have to focus on playing it game by game, not thinking about getting to the Stanley Cup Finals at game 10," Scheifele said. "We have to think about it starting at camp, knowing that we have to improve on some things. We have to get better. We need guys to continue to progress throughout the year. That's the way you win in this league."
The Jets begin training camp Sept. 14 and open the season at the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 4.
"Teams are going to come in and they know they got to put up a great effort against us," Scheifele said. "We're not going to get any easy games, the league is too good. We've got to be ready to be on our toes right from the start of camp."
