The Coyotes received a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. If the Stars qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it will become a third-round selection.

Wedgewood, who signed a one-year, $825,000 contract with the New Jersey Devils on July 6, can become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
After going 0-2-1 with a 3.19 goals-against average and .880 save percentage in three games with the Devils, he was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes on Nov. 4. In 26 games (23 starts) with Arizona, Wedgewood was 10-12-2 with a 3.16 GAA and .911 save percentage.
Selected by the Devils in the third round (No. 84) of the 2010 NHL Draft, the 29-year-old is 20-32-11 with a 3.11 GAA, .905 save percentage and four shutouts in 69 games (61 starts) with New Jersey and Arizona. He has not played a game in the playoffs.
The Stars (34-24-3) are fifth in the Central Division and trail the Vegas Golden Knights by one point for the second wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference.
On March 15, they announced that goalie Anton Khudobin would be out for the rest of the season because of a right hip arthroscopy and labral repair. The expected recovery time is six months.
Braden Holtby, who has been the backup behind Jake Oettinger, has also missed the past five games with a lower-body injury.
The Coyotes (20-38-4) are tied with the Seattle Kraken for last in the West and are one point ahead of the Montreal Canadiens for last in the NHL.
