Kraken goalie Driedger pays tribute to Nirvana, Pearl Jam on new mask

Chris Driedger's mask is brand new but also incredibly grungy.

The Seattle Kraken goalie paid homage to two of Seattle's legendary grunge bands with his new bucket: Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Driedger shared the new look on social media.

The right side of the mask features a drawing of Kurt Cobain, the legendary late frontman for Nirvana.
The left side features Eddie Vedder, lead singer for Pearl Jam. While Vedder is a well-known Chicago sports fan, his band famously got their start in Seattle during the grunge movement.
The top of the helmet, which was painted by David Gunnarsson of DaveArt, displays the neck of a guitar. On either side of the guitar is the Seattle skyline with the iconic Space Needle and the word "Kraken" stenciled in the background.
Driedger also opted for small Baby Yoda and a meditating Rafiki from "The Lion King" on the backplate. Under Rafiki is the phrase "Hakuna Matata" from the movie, which of course means, no worries. A large Kraken logo and Driedger's number 60 adorn each side of the chin plate.
