Jeremy Lauzon was traded to the Nashville Predators by the Seattle Kraken on Sunday for a second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
The 24-year-old defenseman is in the final season of a two-year, $1.7 million contract ($850,000 average annual value) he signed with the Boston Bruins on Feb. 14, 2020. He can become a restricted free agent after the season.
Lauzon has scored six points (one goal, five assists) in 53 games this season after being selected by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. He also led the team with 176 hits.
"Jeremy brought a physical edge to our blue line, and we are thankful for his contributions to our team," Kraken general manager Ron Francis said. "We wish him well in Nashville."
