The 24-year-old defenseman is in the final season of a two-year, $1.7 million contract ($850,000 average annual value) he signed with the Boston Bruins on Feb. 14, 2020. He can become a restricted free agent after the season.
Lauzon has scored six points (one goal, five assists) in 53 games this season after being selected by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. He also led the team with 176 hits.

Selected by the Bruins in the second round (No. 52) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Lauzon has scored 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 129 regular-season games, and no points in 13 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Nashville (36-22-4) is tied for third in the Central Division, one point behind the St. Louis Blues for second, and 17 points behind the Colorado Avalanche for first.
Seattle (19-38-6) is tied for last in the Western Conference and one point ahead of the Montreal Canadiens for last in the NHL.
Earlier in the day, the Kraken traded defenseman Mark Giordano and forward Colin Blackwell to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a second-round pick in the 2022 draft, a second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, and a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. They also traded forward Mason Appleton to the Winnipeg Jets for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft.
