Puddy from 'Seinfeld' gets copy of Wedgewood's mask

When New Jersey Devils goalie Scott Wedgewood debuted a mask with David Puddy on the side, hockey fans took notice.
Now the real-life Puddy will get one of his own.

Actor Patrick Warburton, who played the face-painting Devils fan on the sitcom "Seinfeld," was among those who enjoyed seeing his likeness on the ice, and now he owns a replica of Wedgewood's mask.

David Gunnarsson, a Swedish-based hockey-mask artist, created the masks and sent Warburton the copy. He posted a video of the Warburton opening the mask on his Facebook page.
"I want to thank you for this very, very special gift," Warburton said to Gunnarsson in the video. "I love this so much … this is gorgeous. Thank you so much. It will have a place of honor on my bar."
Wedgewood spent most of this season with Albany of the American Hockey League but made his NHL debut for the Devils, with Puddy's picture on his mask, on March 20. He won that game and received a congradulatory tweet from Warburton.

Wedgewood had a .957 save percentage, 1.24 goals-against average and a shutout in four NHL games this season.
"It's one thing I've wanted for a long time," Wedgewood told the Albany Devils website in November about Puddy's likeness on his mask. "I'm a huge 'Seinfeld' fan."
