The San Jose Sharks are doing more than just partnering with Gordon Birsch Brewery; they're getting their own beer.
The Sharks announced Thursday that Chum Red Ale will be available at the SAP Center and in local stores thanks to the San Jose-based brewing company, and longtime Sharks partner, which has locations nationwide.

Chum Red Ale, named for the bloody fish scraps used to attract sharks in the ocean, is described on the company's website as a, "dry-hopped blood red ale [that] features a rich malt bill, complemented by a spicy hop aroma from imported Tettnang hops. A smooth yet powerful beer just like the San Jose Sharks lineup. This ale will leave you circling for more."

Included is a disclaimer that, "Blood, sweat, and chips of teeth from previous Sharks Players were used in the making of this beer." It also, "Pairs with: VICTORY."
The packaging features the Sharks logo front and center, and there's even a little detail under the cap.

The Sharks open this season at home on Oct. 12 against the Los Angeles Kings, so fans won't have to wait long to get their hands on a bottle.
