NEW YORK -- Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final in Tampa on Monday, June 28, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
