The newest San Jose Sharks player showed off the team's newest jersey.
In a surprise for fans, Erik Karlsson suited up in the brand new, black "stealth" jersey and skated out on to the ice during the first intermission of the Sharks' preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights at SAP Center on Saturday.
The fans gave a loud ovation to the two-time Norris Trophy winner, who was not in the lineup for the game. Karlsson was acquired from the Ottawa Senators in a trade last week . Karlsson was welcomed to San Jose in a big way, including a giant billboard , after the deal was completed. The four-time all-star defenseman also gave a brief interview and ringing endorsement to the new sweater, which features a black-heavy color scheme.
