Break out the puck-sized chocolates, it's time again for Hockey Halloween.

Each year, some NHL players get creative with costumes, dressing up as characters from their favorite movies and TV shows, stars from the entertainment industry and even other athletes.
And, while we now know that San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns would make a
pretty good NHL-themed costume
, these other guys did a pretty good job too.
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn and defenseman Andrej Sustr put on the
full football gear
as Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks

.
They weren't the only football related costumes. Nashville Predators mascot Gnash went as Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry [who may actually be bigger than the Gnash costume], complete with painted-on abs.

New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban went all out to recreate the costume from "Thriller," Michael Jackson's famous music video from 1982.

Staying in the music scene but moving to the more modern era, Lightning forward Mathieu Joseph dressed as rapper Lil Wayne.

A very popular costume this year is Ted Lasso, he title character from the hit TV series. Louie the St. Louis BLues mascot went with that look.

The Colorado Avalanche broadcasting put on the "Anchorman" costumes and totally committed to the bit with Kyle Keefe as Ron Burgundy and Mark Rycroft as Champ Kind.

And while this is just a sampling of some of the best costumes around the League, it's safe to say 2021 Hockey Halloween was as creative as ever.
