But now the superstar singer and big hockey fan has dedicated his latest video to his favorite team.
He released a video Wednesday for his song called "Hold On." Bieber describes the video, a three-minute montage of Maple Leafs highlights, as "a love letter to the Toronto Maple Leafs" on his Twitter account.
Bieber had not only been a regular at Maple Leafs games before the COVID-19 pandemic, the 27-year-old native of nearby London, Ontario has skated on several occasions with forwards Auston Matthews and Mitchell Marner.
But this video takes his fandom to another level.
"I mean obviously 'Biebs' is a very special person, and an incredibly talented artist," defenseman Morgan Rielly said. "He's eager to work with the team and spend time around the guys. I think that's a pretty cool opportunity, and we were very fortunate to play for this organization, and I guess it's just one of those things that kind of comes with it."
Goalie Frederik Andersen said he has yet to hear the song, but loves that Bieber is a fan of the Maple Leafs.
"I think it it's cool .. It's fun to have a musical talent like his be a big fan of us and I think likewise the other way," Andersen said. "I think a lot of us appreciate his music. I'm looking forward to hearing it."
