The Stanley Cup Final is approaching fast, but not as fast as the Cup itself was going Saturday.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosted The Greatest Trophy in All of Sports on the eve of the Indy 500, and it rode in the car of racing legend Mario Andretti.
Hey @MarioAndretti, we think you might be making the Borg Warner Trophy a little bit jealous. 😏
Andretti took the Cup on a lap around the track and tweeted that the car reached 200 mph.
Everyone knows Andrettis are huge hockey fans....so the Stanley Cup at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today was awesome. Don't tell the NHL authorities, but I gave it a ride in my 2-seater. Lord Stanley has gone 200mph! @NHL @NHLonNBCSports @TomReidsPubpic.twitter.com/TghNlfwFyn
Five stars. Can't beat that. Grandson Marco Andretti will take part in the race Sunday at the Speedway, 50 years after Mario won it. Game 1 of the Cup Final between the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins is Monday at Boston (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS).
