Henrik Sedin and twin brother Daniel Sedin spent much of their careers tormenting the Edmonton Oilers, but the Oilers still made the final NHL game for the Vancouver Canucks forwards extra special.

The Oilers paid homage to the Sedins with an in-game tribute video, and the fans in Edmonton gave the Sedins multiple standing ovations during their final NHL game at Rogers Arena on Saturday.

The video tribute, which aired during the first period, featured memorable moments from the Sedins' 17 NHL seasons with the Canucks. Two fellow Swedes, Oilers defensemen Adam Larsson and Oscar Klefbom, also recorded messages to congratulate Henrik and Daniel for their exceptional careers.
The Sedins also received a big cheer from the crowd after Edmonton's 3-2 shootout win. Each Oilers player and coach lined up to shake Henrik and Daniel's hand, and they got one final ovation after being named the game's Nos. 2 and 3 stars.

After receiving the game puck, Henrik and Daniel gave it to teammate Derek Dorsett, whose career was cut short in November by risks associated with playing due to a neck injury.

Daniel (37 goals, 47 assists) and Henrik (17 goals, 67 assists) each finished his career with 84 points against the Oilers. But that didn't stop Edmonton from also giving each Sedin his own engraved bottle of wine as a retirement gift.

The Sedins announced on April 2 that they would retire at the end of the regular season.
