Even without fans in attendance, the Winnipeg Jets still got their whiteout.
With stay-at-home restrictions still in place in Canada, fans were not able to attend Game 3 of the North Division First Round against the Edmonton Oilers, the first in Winnipeg. To replicate the team's popular whiteout effect, where fans would wear white shirts to the game, the Bell MTS Place staff covered every last seat in white. The Jets shared a pretty cool time-lapse video showing the process.
Some of the bigger lower bowl sections where covered with white draping. Two tarps on each side of the ice featured the Jets logo and the phrase "We Are WPG." It appears not a single seat was missed as game day staff went section by section to cover the all. The Jets also brought fans into the building virtually. As players walked the tunnel to their locker room, large video boards lined the hallways with cheering fans via video.
