Crosby helps high school hockey player with homecoming proposal

Two captains have one question: Homecoming?

Pittsburgh Penguins players went out into the neighborhood to deliver season tickets to fans on Monday. During Sidney Crosby's first stop, he helped a local high school hockey player ask his date to homecoming. The two took a photo holding a sign that said, "2 captains with 1 question, will you go to HOCO with Will?" for the boy to send to his hopeful date.

"[It was] creative," Crosby told reporters at the house. "I like it. Hopefully, he gets the answer he's looking for."
Spoiler: He did.

Crosby said he never went to a homecoming dance. At age 15, he attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota to play for the school's hockey program before transfering to Harrison Trimble High School in Moncton, New Brunswick to play for the Rimouski Océanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
In lieu of college, he was selected with the No. 1 pick of the 2005 NHL Draft by the Penguins.
After 17 years in the League, Crosby finally got to ask someone to homecoming, even if it wasn't his own date.
