NEW YORK - - Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby, St. Louis Blues left wing Pavel Buchnevich and Seattle Kraken goaltender Martin Jones have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 20.

FIRST STAR - SIDNEY CROSBY, C, PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Crosby led the NHL in goals (t-4), assists (7) and points (11) across four games to propel the Penguins (9-7-3, 21 points) to a 3-1-0 week. He scored once in a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs Nov. 15 to surpass Bryan Trottier for sole possession of 17th place on the NHL's all-time points list. Crosby then registered 2 2-4, his 36th career four-point performance and first of the season, in a 6-4 win versus the Minnesota Wild Nov. 17. He collected two assists in a 3-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets Nov. 19 before closing the week with 1-3-4, including his 80th career game-winning goal (tied for 36th place in League history), in a 5-3 triumph against the Chicago Blackhawks Nov. 20. The 35-year-old Pittsburgh captain and two-time Hart Memorial Trophy winner ranks seventh in the NHL with 10-17-27 through 19 total appearances thus far in 2022-23.

SECOND STAR - PAVEL BUCHNEVICH, LW, ST. LOUIS BLUES

Buchnevich recorded 3-4-7 in four contests to power the Blues (9-8-0, 18 points) to a perfect week and their sixth straight win overall (dating to Nov. 10) on the heels of an eight-game losing streak. He posted two assists in a 3-2 triumph over the Colorado Avalanche Nov. 14. Buchnevich then was held off the scoresheet in a 5-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks Nov. 16, but rebounded with a goal in regulation as well as the decisive shootout tally in a 5-4 win versus the Washington Capitals Nov. 19. He capped the week with his second career four-point performance, compiling 2-2-4 as well as his 12th career game-winning goal in a 6-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Nov. 19. The 27-year-old Buchnevich has collected 4-7-11 in 12 total outings this season and is averaging more than a point per game since joining St. Louis in 2021-22 (34-53-87 in 85 GP).

THIRD STAR - MARTIN JONES, G, SEATTLE KRAKEN

Jones went 2-0-0 with a 1.90 goals-against average and .932 save percentage to guide the Kraken (10-5-3, 23 points) to a pair of overtime wins. He turned aside 28 of 30 shots in a 3-2 triumph against the New York Rangers Nov. 17. Jones, in his seventh straight start (dating to Nov. 3), then made 27 saves in a 3-2 victory over his former team, the Los Angeles Kings, Nov. 19. The 32-year-old Jones, who signed with Seattle in July, has compiled a 9-4-2 record, 2.30 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and one shutout through 15 total contests thus far in 2022-23.
