'Skates and Plates' cooking show premieres this week

NEW YORK/TORONTO -- The new cooking show "Skates & Plates" and the finale of "NHL's Who Wore It Best?" highlight the National Hockey League's programming schedule for the week of June 8.

The NHL has added another show to its roster of fun, creative and entertaining original programming for hockey fans during the pause in its season.

The new cooking series, "Skates & Plates," will feature celebrity chefs remotely teaching NHL players how to prepare a restaurant-caliber dish at home. In the first episode, chef Ludo Lefebvre helps Nashville Predators forward (and amateur chef) Nick Bonino make steak Diane and pommes frites, one of the dishes served at Lefebvre's Los Angeles restaurant, Petit Trois.

Created and distributed by NHL Original Productions, "Skates & Plates" will premiere on Wednesday, June 10, at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Sportsnet. NHL Network™ will air the episode on Thursday, June 11, at 9:30 p.m. ET. Watch a preview here.

The recipe for each dish prepared on the show will be made available to fans at NHL.com and the NHL's Twitter channel. Fans are encouraged to share snapshots of their homemade attempts at the recipes on social media with the hashtag #hockeyathome.

In episode two, chef Marc Forgione coaches New York Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba on how to prepare one of his favorite dishes from Forgione's eponymous New York City restaurant. Air dates and times for the second episode will be announced next week.

NHL's Who Wore It Best?

The debate on the best players to wear each jersey number in NHL history concludes with the fifth and final episode of "NHL's Who Wore It Best?™." NHL.com's Dave Stubbs will reveal the top vote-getters for jersey numbers 10-1 while NBC Sports' Keith Jones and Pierre McGuire and Sportsnet's Brian Burke will debate the best players to wear Nos. 9, 7, 3, 2 and 1. Moderated by NHL Network's Tony Luftman, the finale of the five-part series premieres on Friday, June 12, at 5 p.m. ET on Sportsnet; NHL.com; and the NHL's YouTube, Facebook and IGTV platforms.

Encore presentations of episode four will air this week on NBCSN and NHL Network on Tuesday, June 9, at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET, respectively. NBCSN and NHL Network will air the series finale on Tuesday, June 16, at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET, respectively.

NHL Hat Trick Trivia™ Hosted by P.K. Subban

A new episode of "NHL Hat Trick Trivia™ Hosted by P.K. Subban" returns to the schedule on Saturday, June 13. The weekly series, hosted by New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban, features fans answering hockey trivia questions to win NHL prizes. Episode nine includes special appearances by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Nate Schmidt, women's hockey player Renata Fast, Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty, and series regular and NHL referee Wes McCauley.

Episode nine will air on Saturday, June 13 at Noon ET on Sportsnet and at 12:30 p.m. ET on NHL.com and the NHL's YouTube, Facebook and IGTV platforms. The episode also will air on Monday, June 15, at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN and on Tuesday, June 16 at 9:30 p.m. ET on NHL Network™.
