LOS ANGELES - World-renowned rapper Snoop Dogg will open the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ this Saturday at STAPLES Center behind the turntables as DJ Snoopadelic. The rapper-turned-DJ will perform a set on the ice during player introductions before the All-Stars showcase their hockey talents in six events. The 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ and DJ Snoopadelic performance will broadcast live on NBCSN in the U.S. and on CBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada this Saturday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.

DJ Snoopadelic's set before the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competition and pop superstar's Nick Jonas' second intermission performance during the 2017 Honda NHL® All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 29, each will feature a live, crowd-generated light show as part of the entertainment. For both STAPLES Center events, fans will be asked to use their mobile device to activate the "2017 Honda NHL All-Star Light Show" App that will connect everyone's phone. Once connected, the phones will blanket the arena with a synchronized, multi-colored visualization of the live musical entertainment on the ice.

Fans will need to download the "2017 Honda NHL All-Star Light Show" App on their smartphones to be part of each lightshow experience. The immersive, smartphone-driven experience is powered by technology from New York-based Fanpictor. Using Fanpictor's proprietary technology, Acoustic NetworkTM, the music will activate the lightshow via high-frequency sound waves.
