Al MacInnis, Hall of Fame defenseman who won the Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989 got to spend some time quality time with his old friend on Saturday. MacInnis, now a senior advisor to Blues general manager Doug Armstrong, hoisted the Cup on a picturesque golf course in his hometown of Port Hood, Nova Scotia.
The 1989 Conn Smythe Trophy winner was the first defenseman ever to lead the Stanley Cup Playoffs in scoring. In 2017, MacInnis was named one of the Top 100 Players in NHL history . After 13 seasons with the Flames, MacInnis played 10 more with the Blues and served as the team's captain from 2002-2004. He was hired to their front office in 2006. His No. 2 is retired by the team.
