Allen mask

The 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic is less than a week away, and the St. Louis Blues unveiled the equipment they'll wear for their outdoor game against the Chicago Blackhawks at Busch Stadium on Jan. 2.

The Blues will turn back the clock and
don royal-blue jerseys
for the NHL Winter Classic, similar to those they wore upon their entrance to the NHL in 1967-68. St. Louis' helmets and pants, which members of the team broke in at practice Tuesday, will be the same color as the jerseys.

In the spirit of throwbacks, Blues goalie Jake Allen will wear vintage-style yellow, white and blue equipment, which he also showed off Tuesday. His mask is a light shade of blue, with "St. Louis" written across the top in yellow outline. The mask also features the Blues' 50th anniversary logo, snowflakes, the Winter Classic logo and images of St. Louis' Gateway Arch on each side.
