Julius Honka signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Dallas Stars on Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The 24-year-old defenseman last played in the NHL in 2018-19, when he had four assists in 29 games with Dallas.
Honka, who requested a trade from the Stars prior to training camp in 2019 after failing to reach a contract agreement as a restricted free agent, signed to play in Finland last season.
The Jyvaskyla, Finland, native scored 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 46 games with JYP Jyvaskyla in Liiga, the country's top professional league.
Selected with the No. 14 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, Honka has scored 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 87 games during three seasons with the Stars.
