"P.K.'s Places," a hockey-centric show exploring the history of the NHL with current and former NHL players, debuted on ESPN+ on Wednesday.

Hosted by P.K. Subban, a retired NHL defenseman and ESPN hockey analyst, the weekly series will feature appearances by Hockey Hall of Famers Martin Brodeur, Ray Bourque and Chris Chelios, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, and actors Josh Duhamel and Kenan Thompson.

"I'm excited to bring fans into the history and traditions of hockey in 'P.K.'s Places,'" Subban said. "We're featuring so many incredible current players, legends, coaches and the biggest celebrity fans."

The show is an expansion of "Peyton's Places" featuring Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, who joined Subban in the premiere episode to discuss why he thinks the Stanley Cup is the best trophy in sports. The two head to Boston and are joined by Bourque, who discusses winning the Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001 after 22 NHL seasons.

"The story of ice hockey is filled with wild superstitions and endless passion," Manning said. "P.K.'s Places will uncover all that makes the game so special and why the biggest moments seem so indelible."

There will be 10 episodes this season premiering every Wednesday and airing during the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Subban also visits Montreal, where he played the first seven seasons of his NHL career for the Montreal Canadiens, discusses outdoor rinks with his father, talks playoff beards with Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Maroon and gets a history lesson on playing goalie with NHL analyst Kevin Weekes.
