Super 16 Jets 1.20

The Carolina Hurricanes are back in the top spot of the weekly NHL.com Super 16 power rankings after being knocked down to No. 2 last week by the Florida Panthers.

The Panthers are No. 4 this week after a 5-1 loss to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The Colorado Avalanche are up to No. 2 and the Tampa Bay Lightning are No. 3 for a second straight week.
The Nashville Predators are down five spots to No. 12, and the Winnipeg Jets replaced the Anaheim Ducks, getting in this week at No. 16.
To create the power rankings, each of the 14 participating staff members puts together his or her version of what they think the Super 16 should look like. Those are submitted and a point total assigned to each.
The team that is selected first is given 16 points, second gets 15, third 14, fourth 13 and so on down to No. 16, which gets one point.
