The Edmonton Oilers have one win in their past six games (1-2-3). Edmonton lost 3-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday in the second of a three-game homestand. "We noticed a little extra step in everyone, it's tough when you play so many games like we had," captain Connor McDavid said. "To have a few days off and come back, I think everyone feels rested and ready to go." Coach Todd McClellan said they would not take the injured Lightning lightly. "They are an elite team with some injuries to key people," he said. "So they're finding their way with different combinations. But they still know how to play the game. They're extremely dangerous and they don't give up very many opportunities." Forward Taylor Beck will play his second game with the Oilers after he was recalled from Bakersfield of the American Hockey League on Thursday. Beck, 25, made his debut with Edmonton on Nov. 6 at the Detroit Red Wings and did not have a point. He was leading the AHL in scoring with nine goals and 30 points in 19 games prior to being called up. "To be honest that's one of the best little streaks I've been on since I've turned pro, for sure," Beck said. "I'm really excited. I worked really hard to get back here, especially with a lot of up and downs last year. But I worked really hard and I'll be ready to go."
