The Icemen are the ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. Tebow, Jack and Hayward join a prestigious list of 17 other natives and area business owners on the Icemen's ownership team, including fellow pro athlete Daniel Murphy of the MLB's Colorado Rockies. Tebow's family moved to Jacksonville when he was 3 years old. Jack is in his fifth season with the Jaguars. Hayward played for the Jaguars from 2004-2009 and settled in Jacksonville with his family when his playing career was over.

"These latest additions to our team will help us extend our reach into the community and will further solidify the Icemen as Jacksonville's team for many years to come."
For Tebow, supporting a team in the city where he grew up was too important to not get involved.
"I simply love Jacksonville," Tebow told the Icemen website. "It is important to invest back into the community that has meant so much to me. I look forward to including and expanding the Icemen's involvement in our Tim Tebow Foundation and other community initiatives."
