The 2018
Stanley Cup Playoffs
were filled with epic moments on the ice. There were amazing goals, acrobatic saves, tremendous passes and stingy defense.
But we aren't concerned with any of that. Our
Short Shifts
crew put together the 12 most viral moments of the postseason.

1. Capitals karaoke
The Washington Capitals paid their dues, time after time. They did their sentence, but committed no crime. And mistakes? They made a few. They've had some early playoff exits kicked in their face, but in 2018 they came through. So they
picked the perfect song
to celebrate. And they haven't stopped singing it since.
2. Emoji Ovi
Conn Smythe Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin was the story of the playoffs. Though he amazed with his play,
his reactions
to the play of his Capitals teammates were even more fun.

3. Marc chocolate
There are a lot of tributes to a lot of players, but this one is probably the most delicious. A
120-pound likeness
of Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, which lived at the patisserie at The Bellagio, was one of the best images of the playoffs.
4. Synchronized Penguin
Tom Kuhnhackl clearly could have a future in lip-sync battling. The Pittsburgh Penguins forward
delivered an impression
of public address announcer Ryan Mill's starting lineup complete with perfect cadence ahead of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round. But when Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin returned to the lineup in Game 3 of the second round, Kuhnhackl made a mistake but recovered to
salvage the performance
.
5. Little big fan
You might remember Keelan Moxley as the adorable 6-year-old who Capitals forward Brett Connolly made sure got a puck during warmups before Game 2 of the first round. But Moxley was back at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final,
going bananas
over Connolly's goal late in Washington's 6-2 win.
6. Reaves' Vegas audition
Sometimes when your jam comes on, it doesn't matter where you are. Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves was on the bench during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, but when Cab Calloway's "Minnie the Moocher" came on,
he couldn't help but sing along
.

7. Stare down
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are all about focus, and Connor Hellebuyck had plenty of it before and during games. The Winnipeg Jets goalie had a
brief staring contest
with a television camera in the team's locker room.
8. On the bark
The Golden Knights' No. 1 fan this spring was a 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier named Bark-Andre Furry as a tribute to Marc-Andre Fleury. Furry, a regular attendee of Vegas practices,
met his namesake
May 11.
9. Gotta support the team
David Puddy may be the world's most famous fictional New Jersey Devils fan. Actor Patrick Warburton attended Game 4 of the first round against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was
in full face paint and chest paint
, just like Puddy, and the Prudential Center crowd loved every second of it.
10. Vegas, baby
If Las Vegas can do one thing, it's put on a show. Just like their on-ice play, the Golden Knights pregame performances were top notch. From the
first round
against the Los Angeles Kings to the
Stanley Cup Final
against Washington, the pregame show was worth the price of admission.
11. Duck season
The San Jose Sharks took their first-round matchup against the Anaheim Ducks seriously. So seriously in fact, they decided to put up some unique giveaways for fans in attendance. The rally towels were themed after
the classic Nintendo video game "Duck Hunt."
12. Nice rides
The Golden Knights' arrival at playoff games sometimes resembled a car show. Jonathan Marchessault drove a Lamborghini with team logos all over it. Vegas' mascot, Chance, kicked it up a notch when
he showed up in a "Knight Rider" car
.
