Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson commissioned a special mask to wear for their first game back at Honda Center following Bryant's death. By Shell Shock Designs, it was a work of art and fitting tribute, featuring the names of all the victims of the crash as well as Bryant's two jersey numbers, five championship seasons and his famous 81-point game.
Derek Grant's first NHL hat trick didn't just get him First Star and the Ducks a big win; as a result, he will get to name his friend's firstborn child.
