NEW YORK -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Maroon has been fined $3,385.42, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Dallas Stars forward Mavrik Bourque during NHL Game No. 577 in Chicago on Sunday, Dec. 29, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 15:37 of the third period. Maroon was assessed a minor penalty for roughing.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
