NEW YORK -- Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Columbus Blue Jackets forward Sean Kuraly during NHL Game No. 772 in Vancouver on Saturday, Jan. 27, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 11:51 of the third period. Myers was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
