NEW YORK – Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for a dangerous trip against New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat during NHL Game No. 227 in Edmonton on Monday, Nov. 13, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 9:49 of the second period. Draisaitl was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
