The Colorado Avalanche had a special look during their Moms’ trip over the weekend.

While boarding their flight to Las Vegas on Friday, the team wore “Moms’ Trip for Lana” T-shirts to honor defenseman Josh Manson, who’s Mom, Lana, passed away on August 5.

According to reports, Avalanche defenseman Ryan Johansen had the idea for the T-shirts, got Manson’s approval, then had the shirts made for his teammates.

Manson brought his mother-in-law on the trip over the weekend.

The Moms’ trip is always a special day, but this year’s felt a little more significant for the Avalanche.
