Ducks, Kings new jerseys split

The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings will both have new looks next season.

On Wednesday, teams each unveiled new logos and jerseys for the 2024-25 year.

The Ducks will be wearing a “refreshed version” of the iconic duck mask, and will pay homage to the team’s home in Orange County by using orange as the primary color.

The jerseys will include the new logo on the front with the stylized “D” logo that was used from 2014 until last season on the shoulders. Home sweaters will have an orange base while the away jerseys will be white with orange around the shoulders.

Home helmets will be orange and away helmets will be white.

Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout already got a sneak peek at the new threads, taking home a personalized home jersey.

The Kings also rebranded ahead of next season, updating their crown logo to the one used in 1967, along with other core elements inspired by the club’s 90’s era.

The home uniform includes a new matte black helmet and the away uniform will stick with the white helmet from last season. According to the press release, this will be the first time an NHL team uses a matte black helmet full-time.

There will be no alternate uniform next season, the press release said, which also means the silver helmet, or "chrome dome," will not be part of the uniform.
