forsling ride

Gustav Forsling and the Stanley Cup are still flying high.

The Florida Panthers defenseman took the trophy on a helicopter tour of his hometown, Linköping, Sweden on Friday.

Sporting his Panthers jersey, Forsling made sure Lord Stanley was safe as he put his arm around the trophy while they took in the scenery from below.

Earlier in the morning, the veteran defenseman and his mother snacked on Swedish cinnamon rolls for breakfast out of the Cup.

He also made sure to show Stanley a nice view of the lake.

In the afternoon, Forsling took the trophy to his old stomping grounds at Saab Arena, where he played for Linköping HC of the Swedish Hockey League as a teen. Hundreds of fans cheered as he arrived with the Cup.

Doesn’t look like Forsling and his new buddy are coming down anytime soon.
