Crosby with CMNT

Sidney Crosby was kicking it with the Canadian Men’s National Soccer Team after it’s big win on Friday.

The Cole Harbour native celebrated with his hometown team after its penalty-kick victory over Venezuela in the quarterfinals of the Copa America at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

The Canadians took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute before Venezuela tied the game late. The game eventually went to penalty kicks where Canadians took the win to advance to the semi-finals. Then Crosby -- who knows a thing or two about winning big games while representing Canada -- joined the team in the locker room for the celebration.

Canada will face Argentina on Tuesday with an appearance in the final on the line. It’s unclear if the team’s good luck charm (Crosby) will be in attendance.
