Caps dogs

The Washington Capitals had the ulti-mutt entrance on Tuesday.

Capitals players arrived at Capital One Arena holding puppies before their game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Capitals looked dapper in their suits as they added a special furry accessory to their pregame looks as part of the Caps Canines Night.

The adorable canines are from the Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, a non-profit located in the Greater DC area, and are up for adoption.

Forward Connor McMichael walked in with a puppy named Eden who he has been fostering from the shelter. Teammate Hendrix Lapierre announced he adopted the pooch after visiting his teammate's house.

Cutouts of dogs were placed around the glass during warmups.

Talk about a paw-some day.
