Kerfoot suspended two games for boarding

NEW YORK - Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alex Kerfoot has been suspended for two games, without pay, for boarding Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson during NHL Game No. 357 in Colorado on Saturday, Nov. 23, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 17:16 of the second period. Kerfoot was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Kerfoot will forfeit $37,634.40. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
