Ty Dellandrea, who was a first-round pick (No. 13) in the 2018 NHL Draft, signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old center had 59 points (27 goals, 32 assists) in 67 games with Flint of the Ontario Hockey League last season, leading the team in goals and ranking second in points and assists. He had one assist in five OHL playoff games. Dellandrea (6-foot, 190 pounds) participated in development camp in June and is in training camp with the Stars.
Excited to have signed my first NHL contract with @dallasstars! Incredible feeling. Could not have done this without the support of family, friends, coaches, teammates, @flintfirebirds, @uptownhockey. Thanks to all! pic.twitter.com/9BxE66v8X4
