Madeline Rooney made 14 saves for the United States in a 7-0 win against Russia in the preliminary round of the IIHF Women's World Championship at USA Hockey Arena 1 in Plymouth, Michigan on Saturday.
Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson, Kendall Coyne and Brianna Decker each scored twice for the United States (2-0-0-0), which has not allowed a goal in two games. Nicole Hensley made 18 saves for the U.S. in a 2-0 win against Canada on Friday.

Monique Lamoureux had three assists and Decker, Coyne, Hilary Knight and Kacey Bellamy each had two assists.
Marina Sorokina made 27 saves for Russia (1-0-0-1).
After Kessel scored at 18:37 of the first period, the United States scored three goals in the second period, including two by Lamoureux to take a 4-0 lead.
The U.S. plays its final game of the preliminary round against Finland on Monday at 7:35 p.m. ET. Russia will play Canada on Monday at 3:35 p.m. ET.
The top two teams in Group A (United States, Canada, Russia and Finland) will advance to the semifinals. The other two teams in Group A and the top two teams in Group B (Sweden, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany) will advance to the quarterfinals.
